Affable launches are gatherings of people who love books and the message they carry. Help us keep them warm and welcoming.

Please do

• Be kind and respectful, even when you disagree.
• Keep chat and questions on the book and the event.
• Use the Report option if you see something that shouldn’t be there.

Please don’t

• Post anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit or misleading.
• Post spam, advertising, links to unrelated sites, or requests for money.
• Share anyone’s personal information, including your own phone number in public chat.
• Pretend to be someone else, including the author, a speaker or the crew.
• Record or rebroadcast the live event without permission.

What moderators can do

• Hide or remove messages and questions.
• Pause chat or raise-hand requests.
• Remove someone from the stage or the chat.

When you report a message, a moderator looks at it, and the person isn’t told who reported them.
